You rarely find Cellarettes in pairs especially like these with unique tops that double as handled serving trays. They used a beautiful grade and grain of what looks like mahogany full of tiger stripes that’s been seamlessly applied over solid cedar.Inside is galvanized metal tubs made to hold ice for wine or beer. These have handles that can be removed. These were in such bad shape that I didn’t bother taking pictures of what they looked when I started restoring them because I thought they were hopeless..I used a mild detergent and my secret concoction of wood conditioning oils and I can’t believe how they turned out.I’m sure the cabinets were built around the tubs that look much older that have a lead seam.My best guess is the cabinets were made sometime in the 1950’s give or take 10 years but the tubs are much older. Thanks for looking.
What an excellent restoration job, the wood grain is so beautiful! Great vintage find jb
