This is a “wide hinge” style GE Novalux from the early to mid 1930s. It is one of the last models of solid-body traffic signals ever made. By 1937, GE had moved on to a sectional signal design. This is a fairly uncommon two-lamp housing variation, equipped with steel visors. I put the WAIT and WALK lenses in, but this signal almost certainly had red and green lenses in it on the street. Dedicated 8" pedestrian signals with the WAIT indication were not introduced until the 1940s, several years after these solid Novaluxes were discontinued.
