Cylinder stoneware vase

I believe this is from Japan. A wild guess. I live in a small town and the thrift store often gets a small collection from the same person. In this case, I found several items from mid century Japan over the course of a few days. I bought all the items haha because my new grand daughter is half Japanese. She'll get it all. I would love to know if this vase is in fact Japanese or something else. It has no mark but as you can see the bottom has some staining leading me to believe it does have some age to it.
