I love it when items are marked. Generally, this makes it a lot easier to date and identify an item. Well, this brooch is not marked. So I have another mystery on my hand.
The brooch is rather large: 2 1/2 inches. All rhinestones are present and original, as far as I can tell. The brass setting is in good condition but displays a lot of patina, or is it dirt?! I would like to clean it but I am afraid to damage the rhinestones.
The smallest rhinestones have been mounted in settings that were riveted on to the brooch. I have seen similar settings in Czechoslovakian brooches but I couldn't find an exact match. In any case, I believe that the brooch dates to around the 1930's or thereabout.

MsCrystalship, thanks so much for your insightful comment. Maybe I will give it a try with the q-tip. I have cleaned brass with vinegar before but the piece didn't have any stones. I guess I will have to be very careful. I never paid much attention to colours but I think that you are correct. There are not too many pieces with yellow rhinestones :)
Gudrun I will look in my jewelry stock photo, I think I post some time ago a similar brooch and workmanship as you’re, mark Czechoslovakia .

Here it is, but I mistake it, that's not the one mark Czechoslovakia.
The brooch as no mark, but really close relative, front and back.
