    Deer Painting by ?

    Been working on some other stuff and I finally got back to this painting. Acquired this recently and it's been a mystery ever since.

    If anybody recognizes the mark please let me know. I'd like to know more about this painting.

    It's encased in a strange cover that has an inscription on it. I'm not sure if this is a stock cover or a clue to the artist?

      It's Japanese me thinks.
      A ukiyo-e or woodprint. Looks like an original not a machine reprint.
      Maybe do an image search it might show up.

      As soon as I uploaded the pictures I tried that. All you get is a bunch of Asian stamps or tons of pictures of deer and giraffes.
