Vintage Bakelite Necklace

This is a recent find. The beads tested positive for Bakelite. I have a feeling that the original necklace broke and the former owner put it back together with some AB crystal beds. There is no clasp.

I am thinking of restoring the original Bakelite necklace and using a vintage clasp. There are enough beads for a choker necklace. Does anyone have any suggestions?
