Wandering around an antique mall in Oviedo, Fla, we came across a couple of lamps. We were in the market for a hutch to hold board games. Just a hutch. So of course, we bought two lamps.

The shop owner said this was a Quoizel lamp and the metal tag in the shade indeed says it's a Quoizel Collectible but I can't find a picture of it anywhere online. DW loves it, I'd just like some background on it.

It is VERY heavy (brass?) and it looks like amber inset in the three shades.

    Unsolved Mystery

The sockets are two-way sockets. Does that indicate an age? When did two-way and three-way sockets come about?

Quoizel has a web site. You might try contacting them for more information. I believe their lamp bases are brass plated or bronze plated zinc. Their newer stuff also uses resin.

Quoizel Lamps was founded in 1930. Two and three way lamps have been around since long before 1930.

I appreciate it. I sent an email to them but there was no way to attach photos. It's strange I can't find any pictures online of any three-arm Quoizel lamps.

It does seem to be brass and not resin.
