“Made by local Red Cross, Belleville IL, for benefit of WWI soldiers” - the handwritten tag says on this beautiful vibrant quilt. It’s simple but the quilting is amazingly detailed. I was gifted this quilt from family (our roots are in the Belleville and Allendale IL areas). I know dozens of quilts were made for this cause - but would love to find detail on its origin or original winner at the raffle/auction.
