I was given this from a friend. I know it’s worth something. I absolutely love it. You can still smell the leather smell in the straps.

This trunk is known as a Jenny Lind trunk. A tell tale sign is the large brass buttons and hour glass or bread loaf shape. They were made by hundreds of makers
between the 1840s to the end of the 1870s. The were covered in paper, oilcloth ,Zinc and leather. Some had hardwood slats. The better models tended to be brass banded ,embossed leather covered ones. Just for your information the Robert Graves company listed on the inside, is a wall paper company, not the trunk manufacturer. Below is a link to that company and it's rich history.

Thank you Drill for the information. From what it looks like the lock looks to be original the leather straps are original as well. I’m interested in seeing it but don’t know where to begin as far as researching the history and the worth.. in the side of it there is a persons lady name and CUBA NEW YORK on it.
