    I think that this is a very old Windsor sidechair. What do you think? its spindles are carved to look like bamboo. I think the seat is of a different kind of hardwood - maybe elm for durability. ?

      This is called a Bamboo Windsor chair and they were produced from approx. 1800-1900 - mostly in the first quarter of the 19th c.
