    I bought this bell from the estate of a former Merchant Marine man. The printing font of "Presidente Gomez" on the bell, matches the font of the name on historical pictures of the ship ( if I remember c 1939 - 1979 ) I guess that I am wondering if it is the "real thing", and what the value of it would be ? President Gomez was the president of Cuba, before Fidel Castro. Fascinating !

      with an iron clapper, it weighs 11 pounds - 8.5 inch mouth, and the bell is about 6.5 inches high.
