Patented in the early 1920's this stamp is complete and in great condition except that the date inserts of the center of the stamp are missing. It has a lined ink stamp to go over the mailing stamp thus voiding its value, it also has the name of Adamstown, MD.
Ironically, the name of the town that I purchased this tool is also Adamstown ..... but PA. instead of MD.
I think that I might display this tool as a "what is it" on the table at one of the gadget shows that I attend.
