I have no knowledge on this Katana sword - was purchased many years ago.
I’ve noticed a serial number ?
Any information would be great or where I can get it assessed.

The true history, and info lies inside.There should be a peg in the handle part you can punch out, and the blade comes out...If you google dismantling Katana sword you will see, the peg may be covered with leather from handle but you should be able to locate, good luck, it may have a nice history, or just a decorative piece, although it looks like it has some age

There does appear to be a signature or txt.
I’ve posted a picture.
Now to try find a translator.
