I purchased this yesterday out of sheer curiosity and that I love glass of most descriptions . What on earth is this ?
I thought, at first, it had a snapped pontil but, the hole that has been ground , is an entrance to the piece which is hollow. This makes it appear to be a vessel. There is also another small hole that appears to have been drilled . I’ve examined it from all angles. I can’t find any identifying marks and I haven’t got a clue!
It’s quite weighty If that helps and measures about 5”x4”
    Thanks for any suggestions .

Hi and many belated thanks to Dav2no1 and Kwqd for their time in posting helpful comments. Interestingly when I laid the vessel down, looking at it from across an average room, it looked like a dog! I haven’t been able to get the camera lens to see it the same way but I’ll keep trying!

I joined this group about 5 years ago and have recently been able to resume my uneducated passion for collecting anything in glass , good to see familiar names here
I would like to have replied more quickly but life keeps interfering with my hobbies !

Just don't wash them with hot water as that can make them crack internally !~
