    I'm only guessing but I believe this ceramic cat most likely belonged to my grandfather. Possibly passed down to him. It was passed on to me, his granddaughter over 40 years ago. If you enlarge the picture of the underbelly, you can see some sort of initials and could be something under them. It's in lovely condition. I'm curious if anyone has seen anything like this from or near that date.

      My grandmother was born in Nags Head and lived in Wanchese, NC until marrying my grandfather. He was from Spartanburg, SC. How they met I have no idea. He was retired from the Navy. My grandmother and Mother moved quite frequently. I have loved this cat for years but to no avail, can find nothing on its origin. Thank you for your comment.

      No expert, rich history 0f Caroline pottery, also google Poole pottery antique cat. looks somewhat familiar, fits earliest time line, worth investigatin lol
