Garry Nash has been working with hot glass since 1978 and has exhibited all over the Pacific.
The base colour of glass is blue and it has then been rolled in squares of gold and silver leaf and then blown larger so that they break up into a mosaic, then covered in a layer of clear. Height is 218mm high and 140mm wide. Engraved "Nash 97" on the base.
Beautiful vase. The detail is fascinating.
