Hello everyone!!
Another set of bookends that I have in my collection are these steeplechase bookends. These are made of spelter and are plated to resemble bronze. I love the details that the artist put into the horses and books. They are from the 1950's to 1960's. Other than needing a good cleaning and polishing, they're in great condition. These stand 7" tall, 8" deep and 3 3/4" wide.
The last pic is my wife and I with Kentucky Derby winner American Pharoah at the stud farm my sister and her husband live on. The horses at that stud farm are treated like rock stars.

Scott, what a wonderful photo, thank you so much! I remember the excitement when American Pharaoh won the triple crown, what an amazing horse. You & your wife are looking good, and Pharaoh seems to be posing like the champion he is :)

Thank you!!! It's always a treat to go visit my sister and brother-in-law. They always take us for a tour of the farm and the best part is seeing those beauties in the horse barns. It's really mind boggling to see these studs in action in the breeding barn. Trust me when I say it's a sight you don't soon forget:)
