This is the latest version of Stegosaurus by Safari Ltd. It has much more horizontal backside than earlier versions. Also it is a bit larger at over 8 inches. The earlier classic version has the head close to the ground with a high arched back and the tail and thagomizer close to the ground. In photo 4 I have one of the older versions in front of it for comparison.
On this one the thagomizer is raised high in a threatening manner. The thagomizer being the four spikes on the tail which is named after the late Thag Simmons.

Stegosaurus was my favourite dino as a kid. The model I had had the arched back and drooped tail too. I think bones were put together like that when they were first displayed in museums so all the models copied that look as standard.
Thank you very much elanski. I am thinking that is correct.
