Looking to know more about this key that I found in some of my parents old stuff. The writing on it (not sure about the first word) Schiebel a/s Aalborg 8575, there's 626 at the back.

    Unsolved Mystery

Schiebel is a Danish drone company and Aalborg is the name of the city where they are located. Maybe the key has something to do with their drones?

The key is over 50 years old, I doubt it had to do with drones.

      The company has been around..

"Schiebel: Founded in 1951, the Vienna-based Schiebel Group focuses on the development, testing and production of state-of-the-art mine detection equipment."

So maybe it was a key used at their facility?

I'm not familiar with that particular key, but it looks like it would have been for a pedestrian door. That is, not a cabinet door. The bitting is symmetrical front to back. That is so it could be used from either side of the door. The ends are tallest because they are called the bolt throw. That is the part of the key that moves the bolt in or out and/or retracts a latch. Next to each bolt throw is a very deep cut, the a less deep cut and the middle is the same depth as the first cut. The 626 is probably referring to the depths of the cuts. However that might not be the case since a no. 2 depth of cut probably wouldn't be as deep.
