This 2" silvertone brooch has round rhinestones of different shape, the base color is blue, and while the central stone remains blue, the border stones have a green iridescence, very unusual for a 1950s brooch which is signed Weiss on the back

Wowsa, this piece of Weiss is definitely Weiss at its best. Exvept for the smallest stones this piece has all the stones WITH mega pronged stones. About a dozen pronged larger stones make close to sure, that the piece retains its stones. That is one of the best ways not to lose stones. Also, it gives the brooch added importance as not that many stones were set that way back then, as it was expensive to do the time intensive work !~
Thank you all for the love

Phil thank you for your fabulous praise for this Weiss, it does have those wonderful dogtooth prongs to keep it secure. A very fascinating piece, it could be lightly ABd with a green glaze, but the stones don't have the usual rainbow glare of AB so I wonder. Glad you liked it!
Thank you Vynil for the love, it's very gratefully appreciated
