I actually first caught a glimpse of this a few months ago, but it wasn't until yesterday that I bagged it.
It was tucked away behind a bunch of other stuff, & I could only see the top of it on the initial viewing. I was in a hurry, plus already buying something else, & the person on the counter that day seemed rather dismissive of it, saying it was "broken".
So this time I went right up to the shelf & dug it out from it's hiding place. I knew it was meant for me. Who else would love such a strange thing?
This cornucopia vase is made from two layers of cased glass, amber over white, creating a caramel type colour. It has rustic thorn pull - out decoration & a clear applied footed base (which shows signs of damage, the feet were probably once a little longer).
It has a bit of a cadmium content, showing some pinkish - orange glow under UV light.
Measures around 8 cm at the tallest point & 14.5 cm tip to tip.
Victorian era, maybe Bohemian origin, maybe English. All weird!

      Well done rescuing it Marin!!
May have ended up in the bin judging by the vendors attitude to the damage.
Could it once of had leaf type feet?

      Many thanks, Bernard!
I do like to rescue odd pieces of art glass, they're sort of like stray cats of glass collecting I suppose.
Leaf feet are certainly a possibility, & the tree root or branch type also. It still stands up fine on the stumps!
