Hello everyone!!
One of my latest inkwell finds is this antique jockey helmet and riding crops inkwell. This was made in France in the early 1900's. It's made of brass and as you can see, in pic #4, the copper mix is beginning to show through. You typically will only see that in very old brass items. This inkwell once had a very small porcelain ink pot, but that is now long gone and very typical. It was very dirty and severely tarnished, so I took the liberty of cleaning and polishing this inkwell. This inkwell measures 5 1/2" long, 4 1/2" wide and 3 1/4" tall.
Thanks very much for taking the time to stop in for a look!!

Jenni,
Thank you!!! It took a bit of elbow grease to get this piece back to it's original glory.
