Hello everyone!!
I haven't posted any of my Austrian bronze pieces in a while, so here's a very small piece. It's a Dachshund crawling out of a sack. As with all Austrian bronze pieces, this is very well painted and detailed. The phrase on the backside, "gesetzlich geschützt", simply means this design is protected by law. So, not to be mistaken for a signature. I'm really not sure who made this piece. But it is most likely a very early Franz Bergman piece. It's quite small and measures only 1 3/4" long, 3/4" wide and 1/2" tall.

Thanks very much!! I'd say you are correct about that. We've had four Dachshunds and they were all very mischievous. We currently have a chocolate/tan longhair female Dachshund. We've learned that we are not her owners. We are her staff:)
