    Hello everyone and Happy Halloween!!

    Another E.G. Zimmerman match holder. This one depicts a night watchman and is so very detailed. His arms are moveable and his hat raises to reveal the matches. The base serves as the striking plate. This too was made in the mid-1800's in Hanau, Germany. This one is made of bronze and has developed a very nice patina over the past 150+ years. It stands 6 1/4" tall (7 1/2" to tip of spear).
