Flintlock Pistol that I started collecting parts for so long ago. Small Siler Lock bobbed and shortened. Curly Maple Stock out of a block of wood that had some of the best fiddle back curl I have ever owned. With German Silver fittings to stand against a dark ripple, the hardware stands right out. Note the grotesque face on butt, Terrible sand casting that took many hours to clean-up. The nose was so washed out I changed it around some. The side plate with belt loop was fabricated with the 1/8'' Silver plate stock I had on hand. The piece took three years of tough effort to get into the mood to get creative enough to finish. I had turned this .45 cal. H&H Round Bottom Rifled pistol barrel to a hexagon to round and inlayed it into the block 40 years ago, bought the Siler kit then also, so it has been a work in progress. The lock was welded up and ground and refaced to 3 degrees to give the gun a more hourglass shape. Much like a fine woman. That I find most appealing.

Beautiful job! That wood figuring is amazing..
