Here is a 7"W dark amber brown glass burbot (freshwater cod) fish made by glass artists Paul Hoff and Paul Slominski for Reijmyre, a producer of the World Wildlife Fund endangered animals series from 1983. Etch signed by both artists on the base

DejaVu thanks so much for your terrific comment & praise for this burbot fish, this was one that had eluded me for years & I finally found it from a US seller. In reality it's a huge long fish often compared to an eel, but of course the glass artists put their own stamp on it, curving it a little so it wouldn't be ginormous. A surprise addition to my WWF fish collection

Phil thank you for your terrific comment & I so agree, this is a rich amber-brown glass colors with so many hues in it, a great color for Fall which we have just begun here in NY. Currently being bombarded with a near hurricane but at least the temps have cooled down :)
