Bohemian Art Nouveau shaded purple martele glass bowl in Irish silver plate holder

This is a very interesting & unusual variation on the ubiquitous Victorian fancy glass bowl in a silver plate holder. It’s notable for a few reasons. The bowl itself has a martele decor, clear shading to purple, & a square form with cut in corners. The ornate silver plate holder is clearly marked J E Ball Belfast. Most of the silver plate found in this context is just marked EPNS. I suppose much of it is English origin, though I have one example from an Australian maker. This is the first one I’ve seen from Ireland.
The glass bowl is Art Nouveau in style, both in colour & decor. The stand, obviously custom made to fit the distinctive bowl is more Victorian than Art Nouveau, though much more elaborate than what is typically seen for a holder of this type, transforming the bowl into a basket.
The bowl is likely Bohemian origin, circa 1900.
