I bought this at an auction about ten years ago and have never seen a set like this with the wood grain base. All but the gasoline and the kerosene bottles seem never to have been opened. I don't know if the cork was destroyed by the gasoline. I have sixteen unique bottles but I think I am missing four smaller containers that went on the ends. Most of the labels are in great condition except for the bug spray. There are no dates anywhere on the bottles or the display but judging by the pictures it is from the 40's. I have no idea when it was made or what it was worth, and have always been curious because it wasn't cheap. Thanks for your help.
Nice collection! I have a similar collection that is out of the 20's in a wood display case.
I have come across a few sets of salesman samples from Standard Oil Co., including one that looks like this one, but with a white wooden base. They are full sets, with wooden cases, all Standard Oil Co. Any idea where to find prices for these items? I have not seen them anywhere except for this post.
I have this complete set. It says educational display standard oil co. Any more info??
