This police baton is about 19 1/2" long and is made from a solid hardwood.
It is deceptively heavy-- it could have done some serious damage to body parts.
This came with a police uniform and bobby style hat-- both from the late 19th century.
I am not that familiar with police batons and how much the styling changed-- so this may be an "add on" to the group.
Information on this is appreciated.

Thanks hedge-- what kind of age do you think this has? The wood patina in some nicked areas gives me the impression that it has a good bit of age.
