I'll bet one of these type photos exist for every company in the WWII USA army. This one is from Compny B, 327th Inf, 101st Airborne.

In family photo albums as well, looks like they couldn't find pants long enough for one & short enough for the other. lol
Thanks everyone. The short fellow was known as Sgt. Shorty. He made it through the entire war from Normandy - VE day without a Purple Heart. He joked about it saying that he was just too small of a target.

Thanks musikchoo. Sorry I don't know the name of the tall fellow. The only writing on the back of the photo is in German and translates 'the biggest and the smallest"
