One of a pair of great intricate wall/piano sconces, brass/bronze? I found them at a garage sale, very similar to BirdieZ's lamps, would like to know how old, and maybe who and where they came from.

I would say these are difinitely piano sconces. Probably european. One of the signs is that they look like they mount from the back. Probably around 1900-20.

Thank you rocker-sd, I thought! they might be piano sconces just wasn't sure about age. There are! two small nail/screw hole through the flat star shaped wall mounted part, you can just! see one in the photo. The larger candle part is detachable from it.

Hi, just thought I'd chime in, cause I saw them & just loved them! I found a set on this website, they are brass & all polished up & for sale for $75 in the UK. Here's the link, might be helpful, unless of course it's one of you two that have them up for sale, lol!

Hi Kkay!...great!...the back plate is different otherwise it's the one!.. I think I prefer the dirty look than the all polished up look!...:-) don't you? and nope! not me, I'm in New Zealand. Thank you for that appreciated!

Your welcome. Yeah, I'm with you on the dirty look, the polished look just doesn't match the style, lol.
