Here's a collection of shots of a Collection of 8th AAF items. The B-26's and the Allyn P-51's are missing and too big to fit in this display but all other types used by the 8th AAF are represented. Most are actual models from specific bomb and fighter groups. All are period WWII models. I have a bunch more in storage including flight gear.

I like you already! I'm an ole-time A&P(since '67) & have worked on a few of these old war-birds. I'm going to put you on my Christmas mailing list.

Thanks All. Note the the telegraph key down in front is from a B-17. In fact, it was standard on almost all US bombers. Like many items during the war economy, it was a surprise to find out who produced it... Lionel Trains!

      Thanks Scott,
I will dig out the rest of the B-17 squadron sometime. The largest is a solid aluminum B-17 that is 1/72 scale sand casting. The smallest is an scale diecast recognition model from 1942 and has about a 2" wingspan. There are another 20 some metal scale B-17's that fit somewhere in between. Then there are at least 5 vintage wood scale B-17 models. I guess therapy hasn't been working for me!

Why would you need therapy when you have a fan-club?
