Strange kind of folding knife

yep... That is it. Please, excuse my English, i'm not a native speaker;
Backlock folder, a very strange one. I've never seen such before. I have no idea where it comes from... obviously oriental... Hand-forged blade, almost perfect, i would say, a masterpiece... According the seller, this is an Arabic military knife, but I think he was not quite sure. Any suggestions will be of great help! Thank you in advance!
