Rare Carte de Vista dating from 1865 of General Tom Thumb and his wife Lavinia Warren and Commodore Nutt and Miss Minnie Warren . They are wearing the clothes that they where presented to her majesty Queen Victoria at Windsor Castle on 24th June 1865.
A special bonus is that this CDV is singed on the back by all four .

I belive this CDV was purchased when they toured Australia as it came to me form an old estate some 40 years ago.

Note this is an original not a copy .
E. & H.T. Anthony & Co. New York .

Charles Sherwood Stratton was the four year old son of a Bridgeport, Connecticut, carpenter in 1842 when P.T. Barnum "discovered" him and transformed him into General Tom Thumb, an eleven-year old European marvel. Barnum trained the child to sing, dance, and imitate famous persons. Under the guidance of Barnum, Tom Thumb toured the world as one of the best-known midgets, until his death in 1883 at the age of 46.

Size :- 2½" High X 4" Wide . .

Nice image marty. I hadn't seen the UK version before.

With MOST of these the "signatures" on the back are actually printed and part of the card vs. actual hand signed.

Marty-- here is a link to a similar one with the stamped signatures on the back:
