Beautiful little glass bedside carafe "tumble up" pitcher that's styling is so reminiscent of an older model motorcycle gas tank. I have no idea who made this or what it's really called but I'm loving it! It's only about 7" long and the cup is similar in size to a bathroom dixie cup-- perfect for a quick sip at night. Too cute.

I think it is a bedside carafe for drinking as a RN I have never seen any urinals that are made that beautiful :-) There are urinals that look similar in design but more plain.

Riply if your ever my patient I will be sure to find you the prettiest urinal I can find :-) Heck you might be right too :-)

Ahhhh geez..... now that you mention it, I'm glad I've not actually used it yet. Hmmmmmmm.

It is angled right to be a urinal just seems to fancy and the cap with white glaze looks more like a drinking cup not a lid ? It sure did not seal it from spilling so I think it is still a mystery :-)))
Mid century modern . I question the see through bottom also ? Lost on this one .

Quick consult with my astute husband brought to my attention that the opening isn't very inviting as it has a rather severe edge and is relatively small (*wink* lucky me). I agree with the thought that the cup / cap wouldn't do much to seal the vessel.

It almost looks like it sat on something to perhaps heat it ? I wonder if it had a stand of some sort at one time ? I agree with your husband not a good opening for a urinal . LOL did he try it out and get a ouch :-)

Oh what while the nurse holds it across room lol

does look to be a fired-on paint pinched tilt bed set (nite set / tumble up) to me. It is somewhat unconventionally shaped for a tumble up, but tilt pitchers are fairly common place. The shape doesn't seem quite right to me for a men's bed pan, and then there is the cut and ground opening. There is one like it that's been running on eBay for quite a while; apparently the seller REALY likes it and thinks it is quite rare. I have no idea of maker but also seems a bit unusual to have the tumbler of white glass and the pitcher of clear glass; tho' both are painted same color.

Thanks Tallcakes I was thinking the same thing with the white glass / clear glass marriage but figured it must be a set because of the same outer paint.

I agree with Rip, appears to be a "Peter Pan". Give up people. I'm not going to change!

Strange... My first thought was Riply's one.... And that is not a joke! ;-)

If I can give an advice, in doubt, what would be the worst thing?
Drink from it, if it is a bed man pan... Or risk severe injuries for your hubby using it if it is too small and too sharp ...
      Sorry, couldn't resist :-D

Thanks Tallcakes ! Not a urinal and they have caps that seal them not fancy drinking cups . It is a Pitcher for bedside . You can easily pour into cup when laying in bed when angled and the hand grips on side . MCM design .
    17. Manikin Manikin, 12 years ago
Oh and one other thing they do not make breakable urinals and haven't for many many years to prevent injury or dropping it . They are made of plastic .

Thank you TallCakes and Manikin, I'm getting a good chuckle out of the arguments this this goofy thing has been sprouting. I think I am putting this one to bed as a mystery solved and siding with the Tilt Pitcher team. Thank you all!
