I found this VW years ago at a yard sale. There's a driver inside and you can see wheels and gears lit and running in the back. When it is turned on and bumps an object it backs up a bit and tries another route. One of my favorite toys.

Hi Josh,
I think not. My kids used to play with this and I am quite attached. Glad you liked it!
This reminds me very much of a red sports car one that I had as a child. It would roll around on tables and as it reached the edge of the table , it would reverse itself and roll in a different direction. It also did what you described that this one does, it would hit the wall or a table leg and back up and reverse directions. I miss that car a lot. I remember taking it to my school's "show and tell", and it made quite an impression with my classmates.
Hi Grendelking,
I must admit, I have had as much fun with this as my kids did! Also had a cat that liked to chase cars:)
What a grest find and save, I'm sorry that joshcollector does not seem to get the message, I tto had at least one of these and probably saw many more.......ENJOY !
Thanks everyone!
