These are some pictures of some of my Flamingo collection. They are displayed in our flamingo room (our sunroom). The first three pics are of some of the glass shelfs above the window, these are just three of six. The fourth is our folding screen. Started collecting thes birds in the late seventies, usually paying 2 or 3 dollars apiece.

   Thanks chevy59, Hedgewalker, and BeauxPurdy. Yes Hedgewalker, I usually have two on the lawn outside the sunroom. But they come in for the South Dakota winter. Mine are vintage 40's cement birds standing on rebar legs.

   Wow, thanks for posting these. We seem to have a lot of the same tastes. I collected flamingos for a long time then sold the collection in Toronto in about 83. Had around 15 at the time. Just one left in my collection which I did not sell as my friend had cats. I sold my second collection, which included some of the best I have ever seen in around 2000 to a friend who lived on Flamingo Cres.
   In fact this reminds me of my friends collection which is high above the dining room, away from the cats at least. Beautiful pieces !!~

   I love the screen--I love all of them--but I would have to say my favorites are the non-flamingo birds in the third picture. Just gorgeous

   Thanks PhilDavidAlexanderMorris, yes I have noticed we have a lot of same taste. I have visited your site a number times. I started collecting the flamingos because I thought they were so tacky, and then they grew on me.

    These take me back to my childhood. My mom had flamingos everywhere. She even had them on the bathroom walls and stickies in the tub area. Very nice!
