Years ago before I knew better this piece came up at auction as "Rare Black Tiffany Unsigned". I hesitated and didn't bid. Then I saw the collection of Trevaise at the Sandwich Glass Museum and there was the exact same piece. The glass is actually gark green with silver coil decoration. Button pontil.
Last week the collector that did buy the Trevaise wrote to me and asked if I was interested in buying it from him. I couldn't get my checkbook out fast enough. So I guess if you wait long enough some pieces show up again.
Now I have five Trevaise. Always looking for more.

I love how the swirl is done on this piece!
I am developing a tremendous dislike of your checkbook.
