very cool:) WHAT GREAT PIECES OF AMERICAN HISTORY from WII:) very cool that these were your fathers:)
BELLIN68,
Thank you very much for the kind words, yes, I am very glad my father saved them. However, he saved EVERYTHING!!!!
Believe it or not, he even saved dryer lint and cigar ashes!!!!!! I am not making that up.
Dryer lint and cigar ashes in old plastic butter dishes or cottage cheese dishes. Older people like to save those...may have one or two myself!
Love the history of these documents! Great for you to know dates and you can just imagine the things they went through. Cool! Sorry about the ashes and lint though...feel for ya!
Thank you very much petey, pw-collector, VintageStation, isearchuwin & scottvez

Very nice posting, packrat. I especially like your good mother's ID, with her beautiful portrait! I hope that you will keep posting these mementos of the mighty warrior, and of Mrs. Franz, who bravely waited years of innumerable hours. I know that someday you will run out of them, but I hope that day is a long time in the future. miKKo
