I just picked up this Westinghouse Jr from a man whose dad bought it in Zacatecas Mexico for 1000 pesos ($100). The body is great aside from the major rust at the bottom of the liner. It is stamped "MARCA REG." on all four sides where the Trademark logo would usually be. TOME and BIEN FRIA are painted on all sides as well. On the inside of the liner it is stamped W-RAIR. I'm not well versed on old coca-cola coolers especially those which seem to be from Mexico. Being that this came from Mexico would that make this more or less desirable. I would appreciate any light you can shine on this cooler.

From a collecting perspective, the old and authentic Coca-Cola advertising pieces made for the U.S. market are more desirable (as a general rule). The functional pieces like your ice cooler, age, size and condition affect value mostly. The Jr. is a sought after size and with proper restoration this one would be attractive for someone looking to outfit their man cave. Tome and Bien Fria look to be a hand painted addition post manufacture. It's a rough beauty with good bones!

I agree with Daddy Nobucks. The tank date code translates to Dec. 1941.

Cool. A month that will live in infamy.
