This bowl has an absolutely amazing crystalline glaze in blues and light browns. Unfortunately, I have not been able to identify it, so if anyone else has additional information, I'd be happy to learn more. What I can say, however, is that it is definitely not Danish and it probably dates to 1920-1930. It could be either French or German - I'm guessing German...

Mark: I am not sure if these two x's are actual marks or if they have been incised at a later date. Bowl size: diameter 13 cm; height 8 cm.

Wonderful piece! Is the excised mark above or below the plane of the glaze?

Below - and the mark is very smooth along the edges as if it was made when the surface was still wet.
