    (4 items)

A nice signed piece 7" w x 6"h with the rocket feet. I tend to favor vases with the rocket feet. The other multi colored piece, equally admired, I just purchased from Germany: having the same dimensions, and is really pretty, especially for the beehive form. I love sharing my collection with those that appreciate Art Glass. Thanks for the great comments, I love reading them; I love this site. Thank you Collector's Weekly.

The colors in your bowl with the rock feet are terrific! It is Kralik, I believe?

Thanks Michelleb007 for the comment regarding the color in this piece. I too am attracted to the color and also the shape. As for as this piece being Kralik, you may be right and I will leave that judgement to you; I am really not a good judge of style, however, I just know what I like. Thanks for your interest.

Anyway you could add a photo of the mark? The decor on the first one looks similar to that shown on the green vase in the front row:

Dear charcoal, sorry that this took so long to get to you. I hope that this is what your request was. I did not quite see the comparison that you spoke of but perhaps the added picture may help.

Hello Belmont, No problem. Thank you for adding the picture of the providence marking. A month ago I didn't realize it but there is a much better example to show you. Please see this posting by Jericho showing the same decor: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/108942-czech-marbled-red-pieces

Yes charcoal, you are so right; now I see what you were pointing out. They're beautiful. My piece with the black rocketed feet would accent his pieces perfectly in a grouped setting, with just enough of the black exposed without being t00 overbearing.

Thank you Belmont. I also seem to remember one of those marbled shapes (from link in #10) being recently posted on CW somewhere. If I find it again, I will let you know. Thank you again for posting and sharing with us on CW.

@Belmont -- Thanks so Much for posting. I mean that, as sometimes I forget to *LOOK* for mark other than the bottom. This goes to show that not all marks (or even remnants of marks) may be on the bottom. So a Wakey, Wakey to me to be more aware of this.

Because of your post -- I went back to my item here and looked again since I have a piece much like your. I was looking on the bottom and never really looked at the sides till now. Unfortunately I still can find no marks on mine.....

You're welcome antiquerose. Sorry that your piece turned out to be unmarked; it's pretty just the same.

http://cf.collectorsweekly.com/stories/OeliqkZ36Q-4l6bWauR8UQ.jpg shows what seems to be a match to your decor on a different shape. This is the same vase shown on Jericho's posting from link in comment #10 that I was thinking about. It's located here and is being attributed to Kralik: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/113173-kralik-abstract-flower-an-exam

Thanks charcoal for the info. At first glance and from a distance, this taller vase you speak of closely matches my compote(?) and I thought, "wow that would be nice to add" however, when looking closer to the vase via the pics you sent, it appears to be of a more dense (thicker) glass. Am I right? I don't have really anything like this in my collection matching that particular set of vases pictured. I have seen the black and yellow vase on ebay and I have passed it up each time. I like the look of it, however, I am reluctant to purchase anything that seems to be "pottery like" in appearance, if you will. Have you ever had one like this in your possession which could possibly help in conveying my thoughts to you on this? Am I totally off in my thinking?

Hey Belmont, From a collectors point of view, I used to buy what I liked and then I studied it. Now I generally buy what I study.
I am fortunate to have access to the last vase in the link at comment 10 as it's in my son's glass collection. It was a gift to him last Christmas from a dear friend.
It's a match to your bowl in every aspect. The red coloring is alternating red and dark orange vertical stripes. The exterior is smooth but the inside is wavy where the yellow marbled coloring is laid on thick. Varying thickness is apparent at the cut rim but can be felt down inside too. Like the vase in comment 10's link the bottom has a thicker clear outer casing layer as compared to the remainder of the vase. It would be nice to see the rim on that one example but I doubt it's available. Jericho did however mention that he thinks they're all by the same manufacturer. The example in front of me has a very faint round providence marking.

I looked at Jericho's photo in #10 link and the compote matches closer with less blue which appears in the picture of the tall vase next to it, but definitely the same likeness. I get it, it does appear that they are manufactured alike. Nice pieces. Thanks charcoal, I'll keep looking.
