    Back in 1968 I was planning a 6 week vacation to Europe and ordered a 1968 MGB for pick up at the British Leyland factory in London. When I arrived at British Leyland, I was given a tour of the factory. What I found interesting was driving a new car on the wrong side of the road, but the English say we drive on the wrong side road, because they were a country long before America was discovered? I kept this MGB for 10 years and had very little trouble with the car. I did trade it in on a 1978 Datsun 280z 2+2.

      nutsabotas6, I believe the 1974 MGB was the last year of the chrome bumpers and grill. Thanks for your comment.

      Tom;
      My first can was a 1972 Austin Mini purchased in 1978. I loved that little car but had a ton of problems with it. Think it spent more time at the mechanics than in our driveway. Made by British Leyland, I used to check out auto wreckers that carried MGB parts in Toronto area. That also meant I was paying for sports car parts with a premium.

      Ben, I hear you, The one problem I did have was the gulp value it would cause back firing. MG dealer replaced the gulp value several times before they finally fix it. It was under warranty at no cost to me.
