I think this is vintage, the label looks like it. It´s a dark purple press glass candle holder. The label is not intact so I don´t know what it is. Does anyone know this label? It looks like if it used to say "Japan".

Would love to get som more of these so I need to know what it is. Thanks for help!

I would like to know, too, as I have one exactly like it! I have a lot, actually, in different colours, but only one purple...

Wow jensen! I also want a lot of these! In the evenings they make such a nice light. Do you have a lable on yours? In Sweden the glassworks Reijmyre made a model similar to this called "Pärlan" meaning Pearl. But this is not it, as I wrote I think it´s marked Japan. Thankyou for your coment! Please post yours if you haven't already. Would like to see them :-)

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of them, but perhaps I should take some in my next 'photo session'. I have them in green, cobalt blue, light blue, grey, red, amber, yellow, and milky white. They red/amber/yellow ones have different colour tones (they are not all the same colour) which is very charming. They are not all exactly the same size so I assume they were manufactured in different places, although I have never been able to find out where - now when I have searched for Reijmyre and Pärlan, I am sure that some of the are from there!

very similar votives were made by different glass makers in several countries. The label looks familiar but I'm drawing a blank on the maker. Maybe try moving the label image to the first slot so more CW viewers get a look at the label; perhaps someone will notice.

Thanks Tallcakes, it's a good idea. I'll do that at home by my computer.

I'm sorry I missed this Elisabethan.
Definitely Japanese, 60s, and although I don't know for sure the maker I suspect they were made by Tajima Glass. They made a great deal of pressed glass and lots of it was sold to import/export companies who labelled them.
I don't know this label but it may have been one specific say to the US or Germany or wherever.
The base and size is similar to other candle holders I have seen that have a different external finish.
Sorry I can't give any more!
