    hello fellow collectors i have what i think are two minature moonshine jugs.i do not know if they are vintage or not.one jug has the cork stuck
    inside and the other is missing the cork.i also could not find any hallmarks
    on either one.i am once again asking if you could please help me identifying these two items.THANK YOU

      I myself have the larger of your type, only info. I have about them is that they are over 200yrs old cause it was passed down by 3 grandparents, so I'm searching for info on them as well. But they are nice keep them

      Miniature? In relation to what? Can you measure them and post it please?

      one of them is 41/2 inches tall and the second one is 3 inches tall.

      My measurements are 15", 13 1/2", 13" and 7".

      All of my JARS are those from great grand parents, so I don't have much details.

      If you want to get the cork out, the french taught me a trick. Tie enough knots or a bead on the end of a strong thin cord & insert that thru the mouth. Rattle the cork around until it lines-up with the neck. Then pull the knot up behind it and pull it out.

      Just going by the clay color, look at Uhl pottery for the shouldered jug. Possibly Zanesville Stoneware on the taller one.
