    (584 items)

For some time, and in spite of its name, this was thought to be one of Per Lütken's designs, and so appeared at hardernet.dk when I purchased this set.

In fact the design is so good it could have been Lütken's, but it also is a strong reminder of the actual designer's high skills as such.

Christer Holmgren was born in Sweden and started working -first as an intern- for Holmegaard in 1957, leaving it in 1971, when he and his Austrian-born wife, Christel Holmgren-Exner, opened their own design studio.

Holmgren is the author of some models in the SAFIR series that are commonly attributed to Lütken, as well as the narrow-footed candleholder in the CARNABY range (the one that comes in three sizes - there's another candleholder model that was designed by Lütken which has a pretty wide foot), as well as other designs that were attributed to Lütken (such as the handleless 428 jug in the Grønland colour jug and matching glasses).

      Thanks VET and SEAN!!!

I have to say this is one of the first Holmegaards decanters I got and have always like it. The fact it wasn't by Lütken but Holmgren didn't change anything (except the set was relocated to a different bookshelf) :)

where are you going to be putting all of your stunning stuff when you move?

Do you remember my wide white bookshelf? ( http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/52878-a-glass-collectors-living-room-i?in=collection-2356 ) There will be two more like that one, in the living areas of the studio (intended to hold both Lütken's and Still's stuff on them... although I'm afraid they will be no room enough for all of them). There will be other smaller shelving units in the kitchen (to display the jugs, etc) and other places to display glass... But even so I am afraid I will have to do just like the great museums: rotating collection displays!!! :)

      At least that's what we're planning :)

Shouldn't you consider to rent some rooms in the Prado, for some space to expose your fantastic pieces?

      LOL

Thanks MIKKO and PATSEA for your love!
Well... I think you should content in seeing them in other people's collections... as i cannot afford it at the moment, I'm just purchasing very few and especial items. But from time to time I visit some online store and make a list of the items I'd purchase from it... 50, 60 glass and designs items!!! Then I think that even if I could afford them, I have no room for them.
