    We went to the;
    45th Annual Gosport Arts Festival this past weekend where we meet;
    Nate Avery-the artist of my beautiful Betta Fish.

    Bio;
    Nate Avery was born and raised in the Hampton Roads Region of Virginia. Through both luck and chance Nate Avery found himself enrolled in a glassblowing course and has now made a lifelong commitment to the material. Mr. Avery is the inaugural graduate of the Tidewater Community College Glass Department and holds an Associates of Applied Arts degree. Mr. Avery is an active member of the Peninsula Glass Guild and owns and operates his own dedicated design line. Currently, Nate is an Instructional Assistant for Tidewater Community College and is enrolled in the Assistantship Program at the Chrysler Museum of Art Glass Studio in Norfolk Virginia. There he participates in instruction, demonstrations and studio operations. This fall, Mr. Avery is mounting a solo exhibition in Vestibule 102 at the Chrysler Museum of Art. Next fall, Nate is pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Art at Virginia Wesleyan College in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
