HERE WE HAVE A RARE, VINTAGE SIGNED, UNDATED ENGLESBY BRAKKEN VASE. THIS BEAUTIFUL VASE FEATURES A DEEP COBALT BLUE WITH HEAVY IRRIDESCENT DESIGNS. FRANK ENGLESBY AND ERIC BRAKKEN ARE THE FOUNDERS OF THE "GLASSHOUSE" IN SEATTLE IN 1972. THIS IS ONE OF THEIR VERY EARLY PIECES. THE VASE IS THICK AND QUITE HEAVY. THE BOTTOM IS SIGNED "ENGLESBY-BRAKKEN AND SHOWS A VERY PRONOUNCED PONTIL MARK. THE COBALT BLUE IS BEAUTIFUL, THE LIGHT REFLECTS A DEEP BLUE. THE IRRIDESCENT DESIGN ON THE OUTSIDE REFLECTS MULTIPLE COLORS WHEN THE LIGHTS HIT IT. THIS VASE CAME FROM A LOCAL ESTATE.
