Today I went to a sale and they had some really neat mid century items. One was this teak Solar sunburst clock. Would anyone know anything on the company called solar?

These kind of clocks followed the example of the Atomic clock designer Morris somebody in the early 50s. Many companies produced similar including Metamec in the UK, their example was cheaply made and the rays would curl if breathed upon. I don't know about the Solar company but the German made clocks are better engineered.
Thank you for the extra info GeodeJem. Someone told me these were sold at Eton's department stores some time ago.
Solar is a French Company. I have French Boudouir clock and alarm by the Solo Company.
