This little bowl was among an old bottle lot i got at a garage sale. I looked up mercury bowls online and couldn't find an exact one, although similar ones show up as early 20th century candy dishes.
Looking at the bottom, where the pontil mark is, it looks like there's some sort of grey powder inside.
Any information is very much appreciated!

My grandmother had a bowl like yours. I am not sure how old it was, but she was born in the late 1800's and many of her belongings were from her mom or purchased in the early 1900's. Her bowl had a little round sticker where the pontil is but I don't remember what it said. It was most likely made in Europe.
